Opossum Trot 5K
Kick off the weekend with a pre-springtime run through nature at Salt Plains State Park. Meet up at Nathan Boone Trailhead to join the run through some of Alfalfa County's most scenic nature trails. The Opossum Trot 5K ends at River Road, Shelter 2, just west of the trailhead. Parking is available.

How To Prepare
Running shoes should be suited for cross-country terrain.
Wear comfortable clothing, with moisture-wicking materials being ideal.
Bring water or wear a hydration pack
Pack lightweight energy bars or gels.
Wear a snug-fitting cap or hat for sun protection
Apply waterproof sunscreen and bug spray before the start of the run.
